A simultaneity is observed between fluctuations in solar activity and
variations in deviations of light rays emitted by the sun during
eclipses. Observations of eight solar eclipses from 1919 to 1973 are
discussed, considering Wolf numbers and calculations by Mikhailov
(1959).
