Systematic observations of Beta Persei with the Paris astrolabe were performed as part of a program devoted to the determination of precise positions of radio sources having optical counterparts. This paper describes the first five campaigns with the Paris astrolabe. The number of transits (east and west) and the limits of each campaign are presented, along with corrections to right ascension and declination and the corresponding mean square error. The accuracy of the observations is discussed.
