For the IR channel of WFC3 a new type of HgCdTe detector, with 1.7μm cutoff on MBE substrate, is under development at the Rockwell International Science Center . A first batch of array has been produced in summer 1999 and tested at the GSFC DetectorCharacterization Laboratory (DCL) in September-November 1999. We present the firstresults of the testing on the prototype HI-101,and in particular we present the results obtained on the dark current at various temperatures and bias levels.
