The presentation summarizes the status of the first generation of
instruments for the 10-m Spanish Telescope, GTC. The GTC is planned to
have its first light at the end of 2002, and to be operating at the end
of 2003. The management plan at the Project Office, PO, for the
procurement of the instruments is presented.
