A method is presented about joining radio and optical methods for the determination of coronal magnetic fields during flares and coronal mass ejections (CMEs). Fiber bursts are used as tracers of the evolution of coronal magneto-plasma structures. Thereby it is assumed that fiber bursts are driven by whistler waves evoked by nonthermal flare electrons trapped in a magnetic structure. For the event of April 7, 1997 the magnetic field strength values are determined and the activated extrapolated field structures are probed.
