Observations of the daily displacement of polar faculae are used to study solar rotation at heliographic latitudes greater than 35 degrees. It is shown that the differential character of rotation in the polar regions is dependent on the phase of the solar activity cycle. It is found that the asymmetry of the rotation of northern and southern hemispheres is disrupted during the polarity reversal of the polar magnetic field. At latitudes above 40 deg, torsional oscillations with wave number k = 1/hemisphere are observed.
