Experimental data on hadron absorption in the Pamir 100-cm lead X-ray emulsion chambers are examined. Excess cascades with a gamma energy greater than 6.3 TeV were observed at a specified depth, whose intensity cannot be explained by the usual hadron interactions or the effect of additional background sources. The data can be explained by the production of charmed particles with a cross section of 2.3 mb/nucleon in hadron interactions with lead in the case of a linear A-dependence.
