The paper presents synoptic maps of the premidday distribution of
low-latitude F-scattering for magnetically quiet conditions in the case
of high solar activity at times of summer and winter solstices. It is
shown that the F-scattering belt has a discontinuity over the western
part of the Pacific Ocean.
