Concentration peaks of magnetic spheroids appeared simultaneously at different latitudes in the northern and southern hemispheres, proving that the majority of spheroids is of extraterrestrial origin. Extraterrestrial particles present in a concentration peak are not from a single source but from many meteor streams. Sampling of magnetic particles at different latitudes can be used to detect meteor streams. Chemical composition of surfaces and interiors of magnetic particles is different due to selective fractionation of different chemical compounds between molten and solid phases and due to evaporation into the E- and D-regions during their entry into the atmosphere. The presence of the Bowen rainfall peaks in October and January coincides with the appearance of a high flux of 5- to 20-micron diameter magnetic particles of extraterrestrial origin. The link between certain Bowen rainfall peaks and particles of extraterrestrial origin is the modification of existing storm systems through worldwide interaction between low level clouds and cirrus ice crystals formed around particles of extraterrestrial origin.
