From the two deep CCD frames in each of the colors BVRI, obtained with the 2.2-m Max-Planck-ESO telescope, preliminary photometry for the globular cluster NGC 2298 (Alcaino and Liller, 1986) are drastically improved. It is found that the main-sequence turnoff points are consistently located at V(TO) = 19.5 + or - 0.1, with colors at B-V = 0.57 + or - 0.02, V-R = 0.34 + or - 0.02, V-I = 0.72 + or - 0.02, and B-I = 1.28 + or - 0.03.
