New models of subsurface liquid CO2 escape show that giant gas-supported
debris flows can be accelerated to speeds of 500 km/sec by the expansion
pressure of CO2 vapour. Aromatum chaos is modelled as a low-pressure
rocket motor, but operating at cryogenic temperatures.
