Using a newly developed technique of stacking radio images from the FIRST survey of optically selected radio 'silent' quasars from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey catalog, we have obtained average radio flux densities for quasars down to ˜ 25 μJy. We describe this new method and preliminary results. In particular, we study the nature of the radio loudness parameter as a function of redshift and color. We show that there is a smooth continuity between these radio silent quasars and their progressively 'louder' counterparts, suggesting a single population of radio emitters rather than a bimodal one.
