Experimental technique for studying the injection of dust jets into plasma of a glow discharge in air based on a needle injector is developed. The velocity and flight time of a dust jet is measured under different initial conditions by laser method. Imprints of dust jets on adhesive films are obtained. It is shown that the propagation of 20-μm dust grains in plasma is accompanied by self-contraction instability along and across the discharge, which leads to the dust agglomeration.
