Adaptive Optics

Scientific paper

Two kinds of experiments of real-time atmospheric compensation have been made with an adaptive optical system. One is for point sources, another is for extended sources. The adaptive optical system with a 200 mm aperture Cassegrain telescope is installed on the roof of a building, and a He-Ne laser source is on the roof of another building 340 m away. The elevation of this horizontal optical path is about 15 m. The results of these experiments are shown in this paper.
