We describe a preliminary round of atomic force microscope (AFM)
experiments whose ultimate goal is to search for the presence of new
ultrashort-ranged forces and extra spatial dimensions. Our results set
new limits on proposed gravity-like forces over distance ranges ~1-4 nm.
