IN a previous paper1 we pointed out that earlier data on the measurement of the gravitational constant suggest a systematic shift in the value with the separation of the masses. This laboratory has been examining this question for about a year, and the early data gave a discrepancy of 0.4%. New, intensive experiments have given 92 data points, with a resulting discrepancy of 0.37%.
