A theoretical study is presented of the structure of the secondary current system and the structure of density disturbances arising in the ionosphere under the effect of high-power short-wave transmissions. It is shown that density disturbances can arise in magnetic-conjugate regions of the ionosphere when the modulation frequency is in the range of geomagnetic pulsations. In this case, an expulsion of plasma from the heated region, associated with the external electric field, can also occur.
