Scientific paper

The paper presents a theoretical investigation of a viscoelastic dynamically symmetric elongated body in a circular orbit. In an analysis of the two-dimensional motion case, it is shown that the first series of the equilibrium position, where the symmetry axis is directed along the radius vector of the satellite mass center, is stable. The second series, where the symmetry axis is orthogonal with respect to the radius vector, is unstable.
