Orbital Elements: Artificial Satellites

Scientific paper

The eplicit time dependence of the analogs of eccentricity and major
semiaxis are found for an intermediate orbit of an artificial satellite
the motion of which is affected by the resistance of the Earth's
atmosphere. An analytical expression is obtained which allows estimation
of satellite lifetime.
