The capture reaction ^14N(p,γ)^15O governs the rate of stellar hydrogen burning in the CNO cycle. Data on the cross section of this reaction below 200 keV are limited. Proton beams with incident energies between 120 and 160 keV were stopped in thick targets of frozen ammonia, and the outgoing γ-rays were detected with large HPGe detectors. The data provide strong evidence for a narrow resonance at a proton energy of 126 keV, corresponding to a new level in ^15O at 7.416 MeV. We will present evidence for the resonance from current and previous experiments, compare with earlier measurements and theory, and examine the impact of this new resonance on stellar hydrogen burning.
