Possible errors in the determination of the spectrum of a solar-cosmic-ray source were investigated for a number of proton flares in the 19th and 20th cycles on the basis of various model descriptions of the propagation process and uniform SCR data for proton energies from 10 to more than 60 MeV. Estimates of the number of accelerated particles (N0) and the diffusion coefficients in the IMF were made for the two cycles, and errors in the determination of absolute values of N0 were examined.
