It has been argued that the Euclidean black holes can support a vortex solution sitting at the horizon of a black hole. We generalize this problem to the case of Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton gravity seeking justification for the vortex solution existing on the dilaton black holes. The effect of the vortex will be to cut a slice out of the Euclidean black hole geometry. We study numerically the Abelian Higgs vortex in the background of the Euclidean electrically charged dilaton black hole geometry.
