The location of a source of intensity microbursts in precipitating
electron fluxes in the 0.1-300 keV energy range is determined on the
basis of data obtained with the Swedish Viking satellite. It is shown
that, for L = 4-5.5, the source is probablty located in the equatorial
region with a center shifted about 5-10 deg toward the ionosphere.
