Expressions for the Doppler frequency shift of radio signals are analyzed for the case of vertical propagation in a parabolic model of the ionosphere that does not take into account the geomagnetic field. Analytical expressions are obtained which relate the recombination coefficient, diffusion coefficient, and plasma drift speed to temporal changes in the parameters of the model. The relationship is generalized to the case of oblique propagation in a parabolic model that takes into account the geomagnetic field.
