Over the last three years, the spins of five stellar-mass black holes have been estimated by fitting their thermal X-ray continuum spectra. The determination of black hole spin is crucial for understanding how an accreting black hole interacts with its environment and for modeling such phenomena as relativistic jets and gamma-ray bursts. I review the continuum-fitting method of determining spin and detail our latest efforts at estimating the spin of the black hole primary in the microquasar XTE J1550-564. J1550 is of great interest because it is a source of relativistic radio and X-ray jets and a source of twin-peak high-frequency QPOs. I present the first near infrared light curves of J1550 and their implications for our dynamical model of the system.
