Battin's (1964) analytic treatment of the sensitivity of the planetary flyby and probe entry parameters to errors in the incoming velocity and B-plane aim vector is extended in order to derive analytic expressions for the sensitivities of all the probe entry parameters to orbit determination errors in the target B-plane parameters. Assuming 2-body motion, the impact velocity vector at entry as well as its variation in terms of variations in the incoming velocity vector at infinity and the aim vector are derived analytically. This is then combined with the expression for the variation of the impact vector at entry to obtain the variations in the longitude of the entry as well as the inertial entry angle.
