ERO observations of NGC2024: This is a region of star formation which suffers enough obscuration that IR and visible light images appear very different. The proposed observations include P-alpha, molecular hydrogen emission, and FeII emission line images. The P-alpha tracks the ionized gas, molecular hydrogen tracks either low velocity shocks or resonance flourescence emission, and FeII tracks high velocity shocks.
