Several common problems occur in measurement techniques and interpretation of plasma natural emissions and impedance data. Antenna characteristics are of prime importance in analysis of respective equivalent circuits, Spacecraft-plasma interaction may contribute to variability of equivalent circuit impedances and e.m.f. sources, what imposes constrains on usefulness of experimental data. Equivalent circuit applicable to monopole antenna impedance measurements, essential spectral structures and spectral signatures of plasma density are discussed.
