Global measurements of the hydroxyl mesospheric airglow have been made possible by the NASA SABER infrared sensor aboard the TIMED satellite which has been functioning since December of 2001.The orbital mission has been conducted over a significant portion of the solarcycle. Analysis of the data has corroborated our previous observations that the peak of the nighttime OH Meinel infrared airglow layer typically appears to be both brighter and lower in altitude at equatorial latitudes in comparison with midlatitude findings. This latitude dependence, although to differing degrees, appears to occur: (1) for two separate optical bandpass channels, (2) over various longitudes throughout the seasons, and (3) over four calendar years.
