In the light of the unsatisfactory theoretical explanation of the observed p-mode frequency separation of epsilon Eri of 172 microHz, and of the fact that the seismological observation is not confirmed, a series of models was computed. Only the observational input available prior to the seismological determination is taken into account. Predictions for the p-mode frequency separation that lie between 198 and 244 microHz are obtained.
