Using a 16 inch Cassegrain Reflector with Quadrant I computer controlled tracking and an ST-6 CCD camera we have begun offering opportunities for students and K-12 teachers to do hands-on Astronomy research projects at varying levels dependent on their individual backgrounds and interests. The PC software accompanying the ST-6 and the color filter wheel allow the production of color photos. Using appropriate filters photometry can also be done. The several formats for image file output in this software allow direct loading into other image analysis programs such as IRAF or ImaginePro for more advanced data reduction projects. Suitable problems for students at either introductory levels or more advanced students include comet watches and orbital calculations, asteroid orbital calculations, supernova searches, binary star studies, variable star studies, open cluster photometry, sunspot measurements and many others.
