A method is developed which can be used to integrate two-dimensional, static equations governing a heated and radiating, heat-conducting, optically thin plasma in a magnetic field, similar to that of the solar atmosphere. The introduction of two canonical coordinates is used to take into account the geometrical properties of the magnetic field and the induced geometrical structure of heat conduction along magnetic lines of force in order to obtain a complete decoupling of momentum and energy equations. It is assumed that the invariance of all physical qualities occurs along an arbitrary curvilinear direction. In addition, an example is presented in order to illustrate the working of the algorithm.
