Experimental results on the measurement of the spatial and energy distributions of EAS muons in 1978, 1981, and 1982 are analyzed. It is noted that the validity of various theoretical models of EAS development can be verified through a study of the muon component. For this purpose, the spatial distribution functions of muons with threshold energies of 200, 500, and 1000 GeV were calculated by the Monte Carlo method.
