Spectra of 15-150-MeV electrons and positrons measured below the earth's radiation belt in the geomagnetic equator region are presented. The generation and propagation of electrons and positrons in the geomagnetic field were simulated with the Monte Carlo method. Measurements of the differential energy spectrum of positrons and electrons in the radiation belt are presented, and it is shown that this belt consists predominantly of electrons.
