The spectrum and intensity of spontaneous emission from electron pulses injected into the ionospheric plasma along the geomagnetic field are calculated. It is shown that beam corrugation determines the excitation of counterpropagating whistlers and fast electromagnetic waves at gyrofrequency harmonics. The effect of the injection parameters on the radiation characteristics is investigated.
