Scientific paper

This paper presents a semiclassical toy model based on an SU(3) quantum spin liquid, which exhibits dynamics appropriate to both general relativity and electroweak quantum field theory within a certain domain (quasi-static neutral irrotational matter distributions with energies sufficiently smaller than the Planck scale when evaluated in the isotropy frame of the cosmic microwave background). In this regime the model reproduces the Schwarzschild metric for r>>r_S, and is predictive of the gravitational constant G_N to within 0.34 sigma of its experimentally observed value when calcuated at the level of the one-loop approximation.
