The presence, strength and topology of large scale intergalactic magnetic fields are of crucial importance for the study of Ultra High Energy Cosmic Rays (UHECRs) because they affect their propagation and, therefore, the interpretation of their observational properties. In the following, we present a brief, and by no means exhaustive, summary of the observational properties and origin of large scale magnetic fields and briefly discuss their impact on propagation of UHECRs in the case of a particular simulation model of extragalactic magnetic fields.
