The polarization properties of the Galilean satellites of Jupiter are examined with reference to observations obtained with an electron polarimeter installed in the main focus of a 40-cm refractor (focal length, 680 cm). In particular, it is shown that the degree of polarization at minimum on the front side of Io is 0.15-0.20 percent lower than that on its back side. It is also shown that the time variance of Io's polarization is significantly greater than that of Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto.
