The electron temperature in the F-region has been deduced from the derived F-region component of absorption of cosmic radio noise at 25 MHz in high sunspot year (1957-1958) and 21·3 MHz in low sunspot year (1964-1965). It is shown that the diurnal and seasonal variation of electron temperature obtained from the present analysis are in good agreement with in situ measurement of electron temperature by satellites.
