Polarized electrons produced by a source utilizing strained GaAsP crystals have been stored in the AmPS ring of NIKHEF with currents up to 200 mA and a degree of polarization as high as 0.80. A Compton backscattering polarimeter has been used to measure the longitudinal polarization of the stored beam. The polarimeter has been used to investigate the effect of stacking of multiple pulses in the ring on the degree of polarization. Dynamic self-polarization has been investigated, a technique which might be useful to obtain polarized positron beams.
