Using a general relativistic treatment we have analyzed the coupled emission of gravitational and electromagnetic radiation in the simplest possible radiation process: a massive charged particle falling radially into a Reissner-Nordstrøm geometry. Particular attention is given to a detailed analysis of the ``feedback'' terms between gravitational and electromagnetic radiation.
