Electromagnetic physics processes of GEANT4 package are considered in terms of model approach. The approach allows one to define the priority of models in different GEANT4 regions and to test their predictions versus the region cuts. The examples of ionisation process model implementation are discussed. Recent developments for GEANT4 X-ray transition radiation package are presented. The simulation results are in agreement with experimental data.
