The plane-wave expansion is used to solve the Maxwell equations in the linear approximation for the field at an arbitrary distance from a loop antenna in a cold homogeneous collisional multicomponent magnetoplasma. Analytical expressions for the quasi-static near field are obtained for an elementary loop. It is shown that the near magnetic field of the loop does not depend on the plasma parameters; the near electric field reaches its maximum values near directions corresponding to plasma resonance. Results are obtained for the VLF field near a loop in the ionosphere.
