Results are reported from preliminary ejecta encountered bear a Cenomanian-Turonian boundary in a coastal site at Nazare, Portugal; if this is the ejecta from a meteorite impact, as here suggested, it must be related to the Tore seamount impact crater 300 km to the west of the ejecta site. The Nazare phenomenon is noted to coincide with a well-known stepwise extinction and with a global Ir anomaly.
