We investigate an intriguing relation between (i) homogeneous and isotropic spatially flat cosmological models with no cosmological constant, on the one hand, and (ii) Fisher's information measure for translation families. An equivalence between that particular probability density that enters Fisher's informational Lagrangian and the expansion factor of the universe is detected.
