The Dirac equations and the spinor Lagrangian are written in tetrads
suited to the '1 plus 3' formalism of general relativity. Orthonormal
tetrads are considered to be 'suited' when they satisfy the Schwinger
(1963) gauge conditions. It is shown how the Einstein equations can be
obtained directly from the Lagrangian written in such suited tetrads.
