Scientific paper

After a brief review of optical efficiency in heterodyne detection systems, the paper considers the character of turbulence-induced degradation of infrared stellar observations. Values of optical efficiency, after corrections are performed, indicate that it is necessary to correct the first orders of turbulence by an active optics system
