We consider one-loop corrections in finite temperature quantum cosmology in the statis approximation. An exact expression for the effective potential of the Coleman-Weinberg type is given for the scalar field in a closed cosmological model. The role of non-zero temperature and non-zero curvature quantum corrections due to the non-trivial S1×S3 topology is discussed. Quantum topological effects of mass generation of the self-interacting scalar field as well as zero-point fluctuation energy are examined.
