Effective collision strengths for the forbidden transitions of neutral carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen were calculated from excitation cross sections given by Le Dourneuf et al. (1975, 1976). The results are presented in analytical form for electronic temperatures in the range of astrophysical interest. Line emissivities corresponding to these transitions are given in practical form as functions of electron density and temperature.
