A hydrodynamic model of the convective high-latitude ionosphere is used to study the effect of thermal fluxes of charged particles coming into the ionosphere on spatial distributions of electron and ion temperature as well as on concentrations of charged particles in the F-layer. It is shown that these thermal fluxes can have a considerable effect on the distribution of electron temperature in the ionosphere. Their effect on the distribution of ion temperature and electron concentration is substantially smaller.
